Inalambrico Posted September 3 Posted September 3 Hello everyone, I have a 10-Bumper system consisting of 6 SW3-type solenoids for the Back Bumpers and Mid Bumpers, and 4 Siemens Sirius 3RH1140-1BB40 contactors for the Slingshots and Flippers. They are controlled by a KL25Z over PinScape and connected to the PWM outputs of the PinScape Power Board expansion card. The SW3 solenoids are daisy-chained to the 12V (maximum output current of 59A) of a Mars Gaming MPVU750M as a secondary PSU. The Siemens contactors are daisy-chained to the 24V (4.5A) S-100F-24 Meanwell PSU. The grounds (GND) of both power supplies are tied together but isolated from the PC's PSU. All devices are fitted with their corresponding 1N4007 diode to prevent flyback voltage, using 18AWG wiring, except for the signal lines which are 22AWG to fit into the Dupont connectors for the 0.1" pin headers. When tested manually, all devices work properly and deliver a solid click sound. However, once integrated into the system, testing via either the PinScape Output Tester or in-game through DOF yields poor results: all SW3 solenoids fire and sound correctly, but the contactors respond with almost inaudible or low-to-mid intensity strikes. The manufacturer indicates that the required reaction time for the spring ranges between 30ms and 100ms. I have configured the Flipper Logic in PinScape for the contactors with an Initial Time of up to 250ms and 100% Hold Power. I even tried PinScape's Chime Logic with a Minimum ON Time of 100ms and a Maximum ON Time of 250ms. I also applied the following parameters in the DOF Config Tool under Variables --> Contactor: Target Duration: 180, Target Intensity: 48. While testing during gameplay, I held down one of the flippers and captured the pulse with an oscilloscope. I observed a pulse lasting about 150ms before returning to its rest state. However, the waveform showed small, full rising and falling edges throughout its duration—resembling multiple modulated pulses rather than a single, clean 150ms pulse. Any ideas on what might be happening? Can some of the outputs to the power board be configured to operate digitally? If so, how? That could be a possible solution. Any clues or help will be highly appreciated. Thank you very much in advance.
