DBrown67 Posted August 20 Posted August 20 I have a 3 screen cabinet that was all set up and running lovely (still is). I then sat Panasony 10.8.0 install in a separate folder alongside my cabinet install for use with my Quest 3 using Virtual Desktop. I wanted to keep them separate as you need to set script options in tables for VR rooms and turning cabinet mode off etc. 1) Is there a way to get the Quest 3 to boot straight into Virtual Desktop? VD Streamer loads on boot on the cabinet PC no problem, but it annoys the hell out of me that the headset boots into the store only and I have to faff about. 2) I am using a dedicated 5GHz router for VR, as I was advised this is better than using my household Virgin Media hub 3 router. But it won't connect automatically and I have to click on the cabinet computer in Virtual Desktop to get them to link. I make sure my cabinet is not connected to the internet. Windows updates have messed with the cabinet before so I don't allow internet. I think the headset detects no internet connection on that router, so ignores it. (It is just a LAN between cab pc and headset). I am trying to get a seamless flow on boot up like the cabinet mode does. This is easy with PinballX or PinupPopper, but seemingly very difficult or impossible with Quest 3. The front end I am currently using is the VR_Launcher (now depricated) that comes with Panasony version of 10.8.0.
