S69 Posted July 22 Posted July 22 Hello everybody, trying to activate my Pin2dmd evoboard 128x32 boards with no success. Doing the dfu mode as i did before on April this year and now its not working. Boards were made by pcbway the same time, so i think its not a hardware issue. I´ve tried last saturday and it did not work, after all only the green led lights but the led panels dont start. Saturday it was the previus firmware, today was the latest... any opinions i could try? Thanks in advance.

S69 Posted July 23 Author Posted July 23 Hi lucky1, I can complete all the DFU mode process, as ive done some times, but as it has finished, the led panels dont work. Only the green led lights up. I used the same USB cable/port ive used before. As i push DFU + reset, and it loads at the DFU mode i did not think it was a USB cable/port issue, but i will try now different ones.
Content Provider lucky1 Posted July 23 Content Provider Posted July 23 Make sure you use Upgrade instead of Upload in the DFU Utility. Upload reads the file from the STM32. Upgrade writes the file to STM32. You need to make a fresh download of the firmware from github because you may have overwritten the firmware file with the content of a empty stm32. Check the filesize of the firmware file. If it is 2048k it is a backup of your empty STM32.
