Win 11 update did it again

damm windows update lol. last update last week or so trashed my cab . popper wouldnt start but thanks to nailbusters update that got fixed. It also screwed up my VR setup too, it changed settings in VPX. lucky i have my drives backed up so it wasnt bad getting things back to normal.. if your setup is running good shut off win updates, Im so sick of working hrs upon hrs getting everything right just to have a update fuck up everything.. just pisses me off

Windows 11 is a huge pain in the ass. I went back to WIN 10 on mine for exactly this reason. 😖

I had to undo my last windows update because it fucked everything up.  Luckily undoing the update fixed it.

I stop updating and don't even connect my machine to the internet anymore. I just move tables onto it via a USB stick because of all the issues.

I also installed windows update blocker and did a full system image which I have used on one occasion to sort everything out.

It can take weeks to get things working and 30mins to undo it all.

I'm still new to the world of virtual pinball and just starting my journey, but in the process of taking notes and noticing so many people complaining about Win updates that when my setup is complete I'm just going to take the whole thing offline and only add tables via USB that I download using my separate laptop online. Seems like the only safe way to be sure.
