laralala Posted July 20 Posted July 20 I always had ad block disabled for this site because I don't mind unobtrusive ads, but recently there are some ads (AI generated on-the-fly!) that , aside from popups, inject text and link right into the post itself. That's... a little too much for me. I don't know if admins are aware of this, as I said, I'm fine with ads but not if they insert links into posts and something tells me I'm not alone.

Administrators Wildman Posted July 20 Administrators Posted July 20 its a new thing google is doing, spent like 2 hrs tracking it down. there are some how to git rid of them but i tried them and hosed chrome then had to reinstall it .. just have to live with it or until they change it .. I cant stand pop ups myself period..... Its not just this site I seen them on different sites. has to do with certian keywords triggering them... Perfect. You're running Chrome 150.0.7871.125 Stable, which is one of the first releases that includes Google's new page annotation features. The HTML you found: div#google-anno-sa span.google-anno-sa-qtx is the smoking gun. Those elements are Google Chrome annotations, not anything from VPUniverse or malware. What you need is a ad blocker to git rid of it , Im using malwarebytes and its working so far... hope this helps
