I am having trouble with the new Stargate serum release.  While it looks like it is in color, I am not getting any of the cool animations. I did update dmdext.exe to the latest version and the everything is registered but that did not help.  DmdDevice.log shows it is loading and no errors. I went into F1 and uncheck Colorize DMD and I can now see the missing animations, just not in color.

I can usually figured it out myself and by reading forums, comments and post.

I am stumped. I need help.

Thanks,

what does flexdmdui show?

make sure no other files are in the stargat5 altcolor folder

make sure no serum dll's are in the vpinmame folder

try replacing the nvram

I have no idea about dmdext.exe, I dont use it. I only use the dmddevice dll's in the vpinmame folder

Get the latest vpinmame -sc 3.7.0 x64 from Actions here (need free github account)

https://github.com/vpinball/pinmame/actions/runs/29372300058

Do you have any serum dll s left in your vpinmame folder?
What Version of VPinMame are you running?

I don't seen any serum dlls in my vpinmame folder

I am running v10.8.0 Final (Rev2058(800a99c)

My flexdmdui looks exactly like this

There are no there other files in the stargat5 folder

There are no serum dll's in my Vpinmame folder

I just did try replacing the nram - didn't think of that!

And I am trying to get the latest pinmame but I think I am already there...

Thanks for your help!

Thank you everyone for your help! The issue was an outdated VPinMAME. I updated it to VPinMAME-sc-3.7.0-222-8133307 and everything is working!

I also learned to find find the current version number by starting a game, hitting F1 and then select Info...

Or simply hover your mouse over the vpinmame64.dll :)
