Slingshots DOF query

In VPX 10.7 or 10.8 is there a way to make slingshots DOF globally like you can do with shaker, flippers and knocker?

I still keep getting sound effects over the top of the DOF and I don't want to edit every table to blank out the sounds individually.
But is that the only way?
