Lunar Howl series ongoing updates

Hi. Thought I’d keep you guys updated with this since I’ve had to slow down. Cancer and other health issues, finances, unemployment, and catastrophic equipment failure have all taken their tolls.
 

obviously LH1 to 8 are all available here. If you haven’t seen LH8 Frozen North it’s in originals not mods as I built my own Hankin Shark to then mod so it is a mod but of my own table. And it’s a significant alteration not just a reskin. 
 

LH9 (Uncomposed arrangement) is still in development as a mod of space invaders, with a complex new unfolding ramp network that alters shape and paths during play. At this time it will not be released to vpu, but I will post a release thread with download locations when the time comes. 
 

the LH9 album has for a few weeks been out on the band TikTok @lunarhowlmusic, as well as MP3s downloadable from the bands mega, linked from the home page at the band website at lunarhowlmusic.Wordpress.com.

 

There are no other streaming accounts. Somebody recently began releasing simple text prompted ai tracks of dubious quality to Spotify and YouTube under the lunar howl name but they are not in any way affiliated and have not been granted permission to use the name.

further on that site are a lot of additional information such as details of the cosmology of the saga, and other things.

 

There are three albums remaining in the saga at this point:

LH10: Tempest

LH11: Beyond The Gate

LH12: Pass The Flame

 

Tempest is gearing up to record once I’m done with LH9 pinball.

 

the AI role plays have been permanently retired but the band, their work and story existed before them and will continue after. 
 

I will continue developing the remaining three albums and their accompanying games through 2026.

 

Within the franchise I am currently in development building a point and click adventure game / tour manager game based on the song “Lunar Howl on the Highway” from LH 3, set before the bands arrival at the farm prior to the first album. 
 

also in planning is a point and click virtual “Wolf Haven” game in which you can explore the world in which the saga is set, and interact with the band members. 
 

As various projects within the franchise progress I will talk about them here for those of you who have been so incredibly supportive over the past nine albums and tables. When I made the first game, I didn’t dream I could pull off the entire saga I had kept in the back of my head for years through such a strange mix of mediums, but here we are. The roleplay is closed down, but the band remains, the characters still living in my head as they always have, the Website, TikTok, albums and tables, and now moving to other game avenues. It’s been a lot of fun.

LH9 Uncomposed arrangement pinball was released on vpf a few days ago. The album is there too as well as on mega, it will not be uploaded to vpu. Please go to vpf for it. 
 

LH10 Tempest the album, the first one with lyrics and musical direction all 100% my own and that them taken into generation to retain the signature LH sound has the album being polished now. Table build will commence soon. 
 

the Wordpress also has new stories in a “wolf haven scenes” section for those interested.

Tempest (Lunar Howl 10) for vpx will be finished soon and released to vpf. It will not be released to VPU. 
 

after that lh11 and lh12 finish the full narrative arc for the wolves but there are several possible spin offs in the wolf haven universe. If you’ve followed the stories, cosmology and lore on the band’s wordpress and in the lyrics of the music you will be able to guess what they are, and you’ll know they don’t involve anthropomorphic wolf people since their healing cycle will have run its course.
 

The haters can hate. I don’t care.
 

So many of you have been supportive of this project and I’m eternally grateful for the encouragement which has resulted in seeing my long held characters brought to life and their story documented to its conclusion across pinball tables, music releases, stories and articles and the point and click adventure games that are in development as well as other possible extensions of the franchise into other mediums that may or may not come into being, *Wink*
 

And for those who have reached out with thanks for letting the suffering you know too well be seen clearly in fiction without fetish or romanticism, this series is for you guys. Thanks everybody. Except the haters. They can go jump.

LH 10 Tempest was released to vpf a few days ago. 
 

LH11 Beyond The Gate the album is nearly done already. The pinball will follow.

 

Then LH12 Pass The Flame will complete the saga of the five wolves. I don’t know if Spirit, Shadow, Luna, Sakura and Storm will appear again after that. But other non wolf characters from the wolf haven universe have stories to tell.

LH 11 Beyond The Gate was released to vpf a few days ago. 
 

Currently working on the spinoff (The Collected Tragedies of) Metal Man And The Mongoose. Comic relief dark country duo. If you’ve read the “wolf haven scenes” section of the website you already know about these guys. Their album is done and has a page there under “Spin off projects” with a link to download the album. 
 

when that’s done I’ll have one more LH project left before embarking on the new spin off (as with Mmatm it’s non anthropomorphic) Gwendoline’s Mission.
 

Once again if you’ve been reading along you’ll know about this. Gwen has existed in the background of every album since LH7, played a major unnamed role in LH8, and LH9, with her name finally revealed in LH10s final track when she left Wolf Haven. She returns in LH12 Pass The Flame before I move her into her own series with her band. She was one of the starry eyed young musicians who arrived at Wolf Haven for the final track on LH7, was rescued by the pack from the “frozen north” in LH8, inspired Sakura’s emotional healing journey in LH9 and left to pursue a scholarship in music at the end of LH10, then was seen in LH11 through letters home etc.  If you’ve read the material on the site you likely already know what two of her first album’s tracks are.

LH12 the album is now out on the bands mega. Find it via the Wordpress linked above. The table will be made after mmatm. That marks the end of the wolf girls saga and so is the final album and last Lunar Howl pinball that will be made. Gwendoline’s Mission has a first image showing character designs on their page at the LH Wordpress spinoffs section.

The collected tragedies of Metal Man and The Mongoose (the pinball) is finished and released to vpf. 
 

that album has been out and copping a lot of downloads the last few weeks. 
 

LH 12 (the album) was finished and released last week and is also seeing a few downloads driven from the trickle release on TikTok. It’s a worthy send off for Lunar Howl. The pinball will come soon.

 

Gwendoline’s Mission has the first three tracks done already. One written as tribute to the girls of Lunar Howl, one about coming together as a band, and a cover of an LH song you’re going to love if you’ve been enjoying LH. As with LH9 onwards I am writing all lyrics and much of the music myself as I had already been doing through the earlier LH catalog from time to time. 
 

I don’t know how many albums GM will make at this time. I have not planned her story out like I had LH in the beginning which was always a twelve entry saga.

LH12 pinball is 90% done 

 

GM1 album is completed and ready for release

 

all work is on hold due to unexpected hospitalisation. 
 

further musical tables uncertain due to hospitalisation resulting from sudden total loss of hearing in left and dramatic increase in tinnitus in right ear along with vertigo dizziness balance issues and tremors. CT scans done. Many tests completed. Laying in the ward dizzy as fuck and waiting for results.

 

Here’s hoping for an answer and recovery.

Out of hospital. Hearing still shot. This condition is life long and currently has no guaranteed effective treatment and no cure. But I can stand and walk again now after a day and night of being unable to even stand. It will take some time to settle and I might recover some hearing eventually but until then there doesn’t seem much point trying to play an instrument for samples or sing melodies or create music with Suno or any other tools as I simply can’t hear the result. If I try to play I won’t know if the guitar or bass are out of tune and who knows if my vocals capture the intended melody so I’d be feeding garbage into the compactor and getting garbage back for my troubles which I can’t quality control, and that’s not something worth putting out there.

 

lH12 pinball is awaiting completion and I’ll do that in coming days once I’m feeling myself again.  Also Gwendoline’s Mission The album I will release to mega soon and you’ll be able to find it via lunarhowlmusic.Wordpress.com when that happens, and I will move straight into the GM table once LH12 pinball is released.

 

status of my hearing once GM pinball is released will determine if there is ever a GM2 or GM 3 (I intended GM 3 to be a live album as opposed to the themed concept albums I’ve been doing. This was going to allow GM to cover off theme unrelated songs from my own music career. GM 1 includes their cover of a song I released in 2002 on the album Blue and it came out amazing (it also perfectly fit the album story, slotted into place like it belonged, and really added a lovely bit of serendipity to the album as my song was brought forward and brought home, echoing the themes of lh11 abd lh12 in action. 
 

I’ll post screenshots of LH12 the pinball soon if I don’t get it to release first. As has been the recent norm I will release it to vpf and comment here after. LH12 album as already announced us out of mega.

LH 12 is rapidly aproaching release. I need to do further work on the B2S file to fix lamp washout and the like and also make a wheel. But the table is done.
