My backglass monitor is an old Dell 2700FPb. A 20" IPS 4:3 screen.

1600 x 1200 @ 60 Hz.

The issue I have is that I'm getting horizontal "interference" and colour shifting while a table is active in VPX. I can't think of a better way to describe it.

Strangely, while in the frontend (PinballX) where I have static screenshots of the playfield and backglass displayed, they are perfect. No shifting. But as soon as the table loads, it is there. It's annoying and is only there when a table/backglass is loaded and working.

This monitor does use an HDMI to VGA converter. I have tried the monitor in different modes in the menu, from desktop, to multimedia to gaming. No difference. I have tried setting colour to 8 bit in Nvidia control panel. I was wondering if there is interference in the cable, as the monitor sits above the backglass speakers. But why would this only be present when the table is "live" outside of frontend?

I have bought a separate Dell 2007FPb monitor to try that. Not had time yet. It has a different Rev. number and is again IPS panel. (Dell did sneak in VA panels on this model but you can tell looking at serial no. if IPS or VA is fitted).

Playfield is a 4K @ 120Hz

DMD is a mini 1080p @ 60Hz

Both display perfectly in game and frontend.

Anyone any ideas?
