Hello everyone,

How do you get rid of this message "Press enter for test report" that appears on some machines at startup ?

It is generally linked to "Check switch F6 ULFlipper button" and "Check switch F8 URFlipper button" when you enter test report using operator menu...

I tried to add these 2 lines to my table script without success (it has no upper flippers) :

Const cSingleLFlip = 1
Const cSingleRFlip = 1

Unfortunately the only way around this is to delete the nvram. The error will occur every 30 games or so since vpinmame has no workaround yet. Sadly this means you will lose high scores and have to start over again

Thanks for your answer Cliffy 👍and sorry to read there's no technical solution.

I've seen somewhere it's an error caused by tables with FastFlips (in my case Dracula v1.0.1 from VPW), but you seem to say that it's a PinMAME typical error ?

I will try to find in the nvram where the bytes that cause the problem are, could be useful to keep high scores...

It will be all across pinmame in regards to wpc roms. You'll need to find VPSaveEdit.exe in order to see inside the vpreg.stg which is where the rom info is stored.

Thanks for the info about VPSaveEdit.exe, but vpreg.stg has only a few tables and Dracula isn't there.

Plus logically the problem is in nvram not in a VPX user file.

I started to look at the excellent source https://github.com/tomlogic/pinmame-nvram-maps, in which there are many nvram maps. Perhaps I will find what I'm searching there.

Or maybe there is a way to correct the problem using the operator mode ? It would be more practical in the long term and above all applicable to any table...

No I was suggesting using vpsaveedit to put your highscore back in after you delete and recreate the nvram. sorry I wasn't clear

And how do you do that ? It can only open stg files, I don't see how you can extract or reinject highscores in the new nv file...

Thanks for the answer. Ok so it's only for the few games (mostly written by JP Salas by the way) that don't generate or don't need nvram, no solution for the pinmame problem here 🤔
