What Kind of Software do you run? Which Version of PupPlayer? It would be nice to know which car you drive, before get a diagnose what is broken on it. At least some infos are needed, Sir.

I'm reposting the info I just posted in Discord because this is about to become a massive problem for most users:

I have GREAT news for everyone on Windows 11. After 40 hours of labor, I finally isolated the issue that completely breaks PUP compatibility. Here it is: Microsoft automatically pushed KB5089573 and rebooted my PC. After much frustration and days of trying every hail mary I could think of, I rolled KB5089573 back and everything is working normally again. DO NOT install KB5089573, unless you're a masochist. I learned that this update directly breaks how the 32-bit and 64-bit communication modules in PinUP interface with each other. For now, pause your Windows updates. If you are unlucky, MS may have already fucked you. In this case, run an elevated command prompt and use this code:

wusa /uninstall /kb:5089573

Say goodbye to the bullshit and hello to glorious PUP functionality 😻 🥳 🥂

Also, F*** Microsoft 🤬

I've seen a few folks with this issue in the last week.  I posted on FB and discord about it but its a combination of this KB and something else.  Some (including myself) have tried and updated that KB-9573 and have no issues.

Can you describe your hardware/OS?  windows 11 pro? home? I know that windows update also does a lot of things with Audio-System and new launch features,  its a big update.

if you feel confident trying some things to see any workarounds that make it work afterwards that would be great.  Google suggests things to try like re-enabling vbscript (Feature on demand now) and other stuffs.  Maybe an audio error?  I really have no clue what windows blocked or disabled.

Ive tried two pcs' with the windows updates and cant replicate any of the issues some are seeing.   Does the event viewer in windows give you any more info on the crash type ?  (vbscript errors etc?)

As I stated in a previous post, going forward, not to install any Microsoft updates as of the date that they are posted, the second Tuesday of the month. they are best paused for 2 weeks.
