""Blackwater 100" - How to enter the settings menu? / Opinions on the table in general?

Hi!

Does anybody have any idea how to get into the adjustment / settings menu of "Blackwater 100"? The usual forums / AI searches show instructions that work for "Dungeons & Dragons" and "Escape From The Lost World"  but no matter what keyboard buttons I push I can't get into "Blackwater 100".  Any ideas are greatly appreciated as always. Thanks a lot in advance!

NB: After playing a couple "Blackwater 100" games I have to say it gives me a strange gameplay feeling. Starting with three balls is somehow totally different than any kind of multiball on any given table; you have the upper and the lower playfield and you're supposed to control both of them simultaneously? The balls tend to drain very fast. What do you guys think of "Blackwater 100"? Comments welcome!

BW100 is a crazy Dennis Nordman game in real life too. Frenetic is the word.

The bally 6803 keypad to get into system settings is a real bitch to use in real life (I own a Strange Science). The keys for VP are shown by hitting F2

Tried a different rom from ipdb - no change. But what controls the buttons anyway? Not the rom, right? If not, what then?

Still, no keyboard button has any effect on this table. 😞

vpinmame is an emulator that emulates the game operating systems which themselves run the roms. Yes vpinmame controls the buttons. You see this if you hit F2 in game. It will pop up showing pinmame keys.

Make sure you have actually installed vpinmame by running setup64.exe, check the paths button to make sure they are correct, then click the install button. This installs the COM object that connects vpx to vpinmame.

The thing is, it works with all other tables! As I said, I can get into the menus of "Dungeons & Dragons" and "Escape From The Lost World" but not BW 100...:-)

But thanks a lot for replying, I'll have a second look.

Press END key to open coin door.

Press 9 key to see Game Status in the display.

Use left or right Shift (Flippers), to cycle through options.

Use 1 key to accept.

9 to save.

This table was at a cafe/bar I frequented in my teens.

The ball was always flying off the playfield and getting stuck in upper left.

So Out of Order sign was usually on this table.

Nice to play the virtual version!

I think No Good Gofers table also starts with multi-ball.

Thank you all for your help and interest but it just keeps ignoring any keyboard button push. Then so be it...!
