MartyBarty Posted April 25 Posted April 25 Afternoon all! I couldn't see anything asked already about this, so I hope I'm not repeating a topic. The title says it all: since Pinball FX 3 and Pinball M were renamed by Zen to Pinball FX Classic and Pinball FX Midnight, I have an issue using tables in either software through my PuP setup. The tables launch fine - however, when I try to exit any table to go back to the Pup launcher, the software stays open in the background. I can see the T-bar with the wheels to select something else to play, but the playfield view remains as the pause menu of Classic/Midnight. I'm not sure what's happened here, but it has to be something to do with the closing script and changed to the name of the software... right? That seems logical, but I've no idea what exactly (though, granted, I've not looked too closely at it). Has anyone experienced the same issue and found a solution? I suspect it's an easy fix, but I wanted to check with people more pin-smart than me. 😄 Thanks in advance for any help!
dabri Posted April 25 Posted April 25 April 2026: Zen has renamed the product Pinball FX Classic and now the windows title has changed, you need to change the windows title to close from “Pinball FX3” to “Pinball FX Classic”. "[STARTDIR]LAUNCH\PUPCLOSER.EXE" WINTIT "Pinball FX Classic" 4 1 https://www.nailbuster.com/wikipinup/doku.php?id=popper_fx3 Close Script: (note April 2026 the Title of the game has changed) "[STARTDIR]LAUNCH\PUPCLOSER.EXE" WINTIT "Pinball FX Midnight" 4 1 https://www.nailbuster.com/wikipinup/doku.php?id=pinballm_zen
RiderFan Posted April 25 Posted April 25 Just curious, why don't we have to change the table open properties?
Rappelbox Posted April 25 Posted April 25 The call to open the app (steam-id) remains the same, but the process name has changed. Closing script is looking for the name, afaik.
phoskito Posted May 29 Posted May 29 Hello, I'm experiencing the exact same problem since installing version 1.0.34 of Pinball FX. Has its process also changed its name? Thank you very much!
