Hey everyone. Brand new here. Just discovered this whole resource. Quite a gift as a lifelong lover of the game!

I play a lot of pinball, a lot of which happens on my phone these days. Grateful that people took the time to created the visual pinball iOS app. Loving it.

I find myself wanting a flying camera option found in some of the other pinball apps - that zooms you in closer to the playing field and then moves around automatically to keep the ball in view. I realize this isn't authentic, but makes for a nice adaptation to mobile.

 

Challenging because, at first blush, I assume this would involve some kind of custom file type where the various camera positions are set for each table.

Has this been looked at?

Also, does anyone know the status of the Android mobile app?

Most of the commercial products do that. Those are more arcade/gamey versions.  Visual Pinball and Future Pinball are simulators and try to simulate real pinball. If you want flying around, moving animations, etc... stick with Pinball FX/FX2/M. If you want more realistic, then the simulators do a better job.
