jedimasta Posted April 3 Posted April 3 I'm trying to start out really small here, but I'm having trouble grasping how the cabinet.xml, the directoutputconfig.ini and the GlobalConfig_B2SServer.xml talk to each other and the Wemos D1 I'm using. Here's the background: WemosD1 Mini flashed using the Arnoz tools Cabinet.xml created using the Arnoz tool. I've added a single Addressable Toy on Output 1 (D5) with one LED I've named "TestLED." Added one WS2811 device to my table in the DOF Config Tool Added an RGB Fire Button to P:001 in the DOF Config Tool (I've also tried Custom RGB) Using the DOF Tester app, it seems to handshake with the Wemos according to the logs and when I first load a config into the tester, I see the LED flash red, green then blue before turning off. What I don't see is any item listed in the Tester window to "activate" or otherwise pulse to test no matter what table or rom I load, including VP_DOF_TEST. That said, I'm not sure if I'm even supposed to be able to do that with just one LED. I've read over the docs on github and watched Way of the Wrench's video a few times now, but can't seem to catch what I'm missing. Zooming out a bit, my intent, at least at first, is to put a single WS2812b LED inside several clear arcade buttons on my table - Start, Plunger, Coin, Fire/Special and Exit. I'll likely add full strips and other items later, but for now I'm experimenting. I'm hoping that I can connect these in series and control them individually, i.e. one pin on the Wemos. What I can't really wrap my head around is how to make sure those assignments translate to DOF from these configs and how I'm supposed to test them. I'd appreciate any guidance. Attached are the relevant files. GlobalConfig_B2SServer.xml cabinet.xml directoutputconfig30.ini
jedimasta Posted April 9 Author Posted April 9 I've managed to get things talking to each other now and have a better understanding with how the tester works. I'm having some other issues, but that's for a more focused post.
