colditz Posted March 6 Posted March 6 Hi everyone , i have a problem with a pin2dmd . is it normal that when i switch it on the only file appear on the sd is the .dat? i remember 128x32 produce a file named with the serial code
Content Provider lucky1 Posted March 7 Content Provider Posted March 7 If it is not already activated it should be like this.
colditz Posted March 8 Author Posted March 8 excuse me lucky , usually when i switch on a not activated 128x32 i found a file named E244514544354 or similar , that is the uid of the display , i can use that to require activation without mounting led panel ( for example because not still delivered from china)
Content Provider lucky1 Posted March 9 Content Provider Posted March 9 I just checked with my spare board and it worked exactly as expected. It generated a file with the UID as name. For XL it is X244514544354 or similar. Maybe your board is not working. Does the red LED turn on when no SD card is inserted and the board is powered up ?
colditz Posted March 9 Author Posted March 9 yes, without sd the red led lights up, with sd the led doesn't light up it seems correct but there is no file generated with xl3522346466 maybe something is not working but I can't figure out what even the previous display purchased from pinballcenter had problems (the SD reader didn't work) but I solved it using the pin2dmd tool and activation from the PC
