Yarzy Posted February 7 Posted February 7 Hi everyone, I have been lurking for years on this site, amazed at how great these tables look, so this is my first time posting. After finally biting the bullet, I just purchased this PC: https://www.costco.com/p/-/ibuypower-element-gaming-pc-desktop-amd-ryzen-7-9800x3d-nvidia-geforce-rtx-5070-12gb-windows-11-home-32gb-ram-2tb-ssd/4000384603?langId=-1. Long story short, it has a 5070 GPU and a 9800x3d CPU, so I think I should be good power-wise, but honestly, I am not sure. I also am using a Quest 3. The PC was wiped with a fresh, clean install of Windows 11, is hardwired and the Quest is connected to a WiFi 7 Omada access point. I am using Virtual Desktop, and it confirms the PC is hard-wired (CAT 7) and the Quest is connected via WiFi 6. I think it showed somewhere around 1860Mbps. I used Baller to install everything (amazing!) and I have 15+ tables installed and working great in normal, non-VR mode. They play great in 4k (single screen), etc. I am also using OpenComposite. I copied the 64 and 32 dlls into the Virtual Pinball directory, and I did rename the 64 dll as it was downloaded the same as the 32, so I renamed. ANYWAYS...I feel like I have done what I should, but I still get some lag when playing wireless via Virtual Desktop. Its like it freezes (the ball) every 15-20 seconds for a brief moment, which is not ideal when playing a fast game. Is there another things I can check that would help? Can I hardwire via USB C via SteamLink? I feel from what I read, Virtual Desktop was the way to go, but I have no idea. I have also tried High End PC and Low End PC in VPX and it does not make a difference outside of visuals. Is this minor lag/blip just a thing with VR, or can I get 100% smooth gameplay? Please let me know if you have any ideas that could help, I am all ears! Thanks so much for everything!
Chris999 Posted February 28 Posted February 28 Hello. I got rid of my picture dropouts by manually setting the channel in the router. Set a low channel number (I use 44) and don't let the router choose it. High channel numbers can be affected by radar interference in my area. The interference was visible in the virtual desktop as latency in the "Networking" section.

Sorry for the delay and I see you have joined our VR Pinball Discord, do you have everything running smooth yet?
