Ball stuck when plunging, all tables

Hi, Visual pinball newbie here. Been fighting trying to install this for a week now and thought I actually got it, but I'm seriously loosing hope and hope for someone to help or point me in the right direction. This is what happens:

 

I start up a table, any table (yes, I got the rom linked/suggested by the creator) and it looks just fine, everything looks like it works. I put in some coins, and press "1". As I press one the game plunges the ball automatically and then the ball gets stuck just after entering the table and there is nothing I can do to make it continue. The game doesn't seem to lock up or anything, sound and flippers/nudging and so on still works but the ball just sits there, attached a picture that shows where the ball sits.

 

Hoping that someone can help, I thought I was somewhat computer savvy (at least I used to be) but Im close to giving up and just settle with pinball fx or something.

 

Thanks in advance and go easy on me if Im just doing something stupid... Im getting older and just want to enjoy my pinball

 

EDIT: After further investigations it seems like the table is leaning heavily to the right back corner??? could that be it and how can I straighten it up?

found more clues to my issue

You probably have a game controller or other device connected that's not calibrated correctly so the table is constantly "nudging" to the right. 

Try removing anything you have attached via usb and see what happens
