Pinup doesn't work with Pinscape shifted buttons ?

I've just set up PinVol for my virtual pinball and want to use shifted buttons (via the Pinscape Config Tool of my KL25Z) to adjust volumes.
So, I go into Pinscape and set the LMagna as the shift button and, for example, the RFlip to send the Volume Up keycode (same as I set in PinVol). This works fine directly in VPX.

However, in PuP, none of my cab buttons now respond. Keyboard works fine. This happens if I set any button in Pinscape to be a shifted button. It also doesn't matter what keycode I set the shifted button to. If I then remove the shifted button(s) in Pinscape, everything is back to fine in PuP.

I discovered that when I use shifted buttons, Windows don't recognize my KL25Z as a controller anymore. I think that is the reason why PuP stop functioning normally.

Do you know how to solve this, please ?

I’ve set up pinscape on various vpins with a shift button and it always worked like a charm. 
I can only suggest to use a button (keystroke, not actual button function!!!) that is not used much during gameplay, like the start button.

I have a dedicated button on my vpin for the shift.

Did you use the shift button for Pinvol ?
