Hi, I am attempting to find a Pinball game. Williams games were my favorite durung the 1960s. I could use some pointers, such as starting a game for the first time. So far I am not doing well.

Are you able to get the table to load? Once it's up and running use the usual Mame keys to start. 5 adds credits and 1 starts the game. For more keys used hit the F2 key

I tried downloading Bally's Eight Ball (1977). I get an audibe response on 5 and 1 and Enter when I activate the plunger. Nothing else. Could this game be incomplete?

Sounds like you don't have everything installed correctly and probably don't have the ROM.

You need Visual Pinball & VPinMAME installed.  You also need both the table and the ROM?
