So I decided to redo my software, the build I was using started back on Windows 7 through a Windows 10 update etc. Using a 6 core 5500 AMD CPU, 16gb DDR4 ram and a new 5060 8g. I have used lesser cards with my older software and havent run into the issue I am now. SOme tables, so far less than 10 out of 350ish struggle when there are a lot of LEDs lit on the table. Not addressable, but graphics based LEDs on the playfuield. Lots light up and some tables just steruggle with it. Never ran into this before. Using VPX 10.7 fixes some of them, but not all. Any ideas?

I have turned down all the settings that I can and still it struggles with a lot of LED activity on the table.

TIA.

Guessing there is a disparity between your old CPU and the new GPU which are of different PCIe generation.
Have you tweaked the Nvidia control panel settings like Low latency mode and Power management?
Also are you in exclusive fullscreen?

You might not want to hear this but in your scenario you might consider to invest 300€ in a new mobo and CPU to match your GPU - I recently updated from an ancient FX8350 to a 5700x to match my 3600 12GB, huge update.. and then install the Windows 11 IoT Enterprise edition and the latest stable 64bit versions, you'd also be ready for when BGFX comes out and your setup will be even powerful and futureproof then.

I have not messed with those settings yet, I will. Also, like i said, this software has gone through several generations of hardware and with my old software, all of this worked fine with a 5600XT GPU and the same CPU. Thank you for the settings suggestion ill go do that now.

Ok so, lol. I restored an image of my old software, and when it auto updated all the drivers, it works flawlessly. Same hardware, old software, which is also W10, but it was upgraded from 7 long ago. Same tables that lagged due to playfield graphical LEDs now works with no stuttering. So something im missing on my new install from my old and I have no idea what it would be that would effect performance that much.

After messing with it some more, im able to crank all the graphics settings up with no lag on my old software build. So weird lol. So the CPU wasnt limiting it. Also installed W11 and same tables lag the same way as the new install of W10.

The W10 and W11 are both fresh baller installer versions, no updating, so whatever versions those are, are what im testing it on. The older software, is updatred as of 1/2025 in terms of the VPX software, thats where it works flawlessly. Im going to upgrade to the VPX versions im using on my older software build, but have other stuff to do today, so ill let you know when I upgrade the VPX stuff whether it makes a difference. Thanks for sticking around and trying to help.

The Baller install without updates has older versions (I think RC4 from November) than the stable VPX 10.8 build from January. If that's the one that's working, you'll need to do the updates in Baller to get to those versions. (10.8.0, b2sserver 2.3.1 and Vpinmame 3.6/3.7)

Alright just messed with the updated baller installer, its actually a newer version than the 1/25 version im using on my old software buld that works as it should, and it still stutters in the same places on the same games, so I am missing something, I registered the setup and setup64 after installing the baller installer, was there anything else I shouldve ran besides the couple of executables you have to download for visual c or whatever it was?

What's the VPX version number? You should first get on the same version as your functioning build as a newer version could also introduce issues. Like is said make sure you have VPX10.8 (2051), VPinMAME 3.6 or 3.7 and B2sserver 2.1.3 or 2.1.4 Mashup)
