Tikimaster Posted March 4 Posted March 4 Heise, the biggest german IT- Mag reports that Nvidia’s new GeForce driver 595.71 still causes problems for some users. Reports suggest the driver limits GPU voltage and power consumption more strictly than before, which can lower clock speeds and reduce gaming performance by more than 10% in some cases. Some users also experience crashes, black or blue screens, and other stability issues. The driver was released quickly after the previous version (595.59) had to be withdrawn due to a serious fan-control bug. Nvidia has not yet confirmed the cause of the new issues, and affected users are advised to revert to an older driver such as version 591.86 if they encounter performance problems. Tikimaster Posted June 3 Posted June 3 47 minutes ago, fourbanks said: Driver Version:610.47 | WHQ NVIDIA Driver 610.47 Retires the Classic Control Panel With the release of NVIDIA GeForce Driver 610.47, NVIDIA has officially begun phasing out the classic NVIDIA Control Panel. New installations of the driver now rely on the NVIDIA App as the primary interface for graphics settings, game optimization, driver updates, and performance monitoring. Users upgrading from an older driver may still retain the NVIDIA Control Panel, but clean installations remove it by default. While the Control Panel remains available through the Microsoft Store for the time being, NVIDIA has indicated that future development and new features will be focused on the NVIDIA App. This change marks the end of an era for a utility that has been a core part of NVIDIA graphics drivers for over two decades. Users should expect graphics settings and customization options to be gradually consolidated into the NVIDIA App moving forward.
