Nightquaker Posted December 3, 2025 Posted December 3, 2025 Hello. So, some tables have this thing where the tournament file save overrides the start button, which leads to me not being able to start the game because every time I try, it just spazzes out and vomits the "saved tournament file to drive:\\\..." message. How do I disable this? Remapping the start button didn't work. Or better yet, is there a way to just globally disable the entire tournament feature? I just want to play Visual Pinball on my computer, without the stupid feature getting in my way. I'd really appreciate your help on this. Thanks.
deadmanworking Posted December 3, 2025 Posted December 3, 2025 Which tables exactly are affected? The tournament export should not interfere with normal table start but it can also be disabled

The tournament export should not interfere with normal table start but it can also be disabled In my case it's the Lord of the Rings table. Valinor Edition (Stern 2003). It works really good, aside from the tournament thing. And like, it's still playable, but I have to be really careful with when I press the start button. Because if I press it not at the right time, instead of starting the game it'll do the "export tournament txt file" thing. And I'll have to restart the table entirely to make it work again. And also, yeah, in the original post I kind of implied that the table doesn't work at all because of the tournament stuff, but I have since learned to time the start button press right and get around the issue. Still, it's a workaround, not a solution. And I'd be perfectly fine with disabling the tournament system entirely as a solution for my problem. Edited December 3, 2025 by Nightquaker
deadmanworking Posted December 4, 2025 Posted December 4, 2025 Can you try deleting the nvram file of the table (named like the ROM: lotr.nv) in Vpinmame/nvram and see if it does anything?
