vietscong Posted November 18, 2025 Posted November 18, 2025 Good afternoon I am trying to activate my pin2dmd . i have a nucleo F429ZI updated to the latest firmware , 4.53 , i have a key ( receveid this Sunday) that match the one on the dmd . I have tried to uses the sd card mode with sc card and only thing that i have on the dmd was pin2dmd virtual pinball ..nothing else .. so i tried to activate the pin2dmd using the pin2dmd.exe ..tried the 32 and 64 bits version ...and on the 64 versions i got the "pin2dmd device activation failed" .. i am out of ideas ... someone has another way to do it ? Thanks in advance Best regards

You can also check in the onscreen menu
vietscong Posted November 19, 2025 Author Posted November 19, 2025 Thanks for the answer, but i can´t acess menu/options on pin2dmd, i tried acessing with the exe but i always receveid the "device not activated" , whatever i do or try i always have the pin2dmd virtual pinball splash and nothing else. is there any place where i can access older firmwares so i try those instead of the 4.56 ? Thanks in advance Best regards
Content Provider lucky1 Posted November 20, 2025 Content Provider Posted November 20, 2025 Do you get "NOT ACTIVATED" message after 3 minutes ? The device not activated message in the tool could also indicate a USB problem.
vietscong Posted December 1, 2025 Author Posted December 1, 2025 i have uploaded firmware 4.52 and i have again the not activated / splash screen . Tried to activate via sd card and the tools and nothing . As the key was new , is there a possibility that something was wrong with it ? thanks in advance Best regards
Content Provider lucky1 Posted December 1, 2025 Content Provider Posted December 1, 2025 Does a save config in the onscreen menu create a pin2dmd.dat file on the SD ? If not you SD is not compatible or something is wrong with your reader
