PinDMD™ v3.1 ZeDMD comport connectivity issue

Hi, I'm new to VPIN and I just added a new ZEDMD to my cabinet and I figured out the comport, but I'm still not getting connectivity. I downloaded the driver from silabs and now it shows in device manager as comport 3. I'm running pinup popper and it is set to COMPORT3. Nothing is coming on, also I notice in the dmddevicel.log its showing comport 3 does not exist with a older date than today. I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it. Trying to figure out what I need to do to get this back working with games. Thank you.

Make sure you have a good usb c not a cheap phone charging cable. And check out the clear set up guide by Zedrummer. your dmd.ini. must be set up properly. scaler mode  set to  doubler 

[zedmd]    or if you have zedmdHD set that to true  but not both only which one you have. good luck you will get it keep trying.
