Updated VPX now Tron Legacy gives flickering ball trails

I updated my VPX install that was previously running an RC from December 2023 because it would crash with the new Medieval Madness release by VPW.  It solved that issue, but created a new one for me.

 

Now Tron Legacy (VPW Mod v1.1)  generates a not very smooth, not very nice, ball trail glint that flickers in and out.  See attached screenshots.  I haven't tested all my others tables yet but I'm wondering if this is a setting that can be changed?  It doesn't look like there's a newer version of the table.

 

The ball trail glint flickers in and out and isn't always there.  It's pretty darned ugly.  Definitely wasn't an issue before updating, and that's the only change that's been made.  The Avengers table does this as well, and Goonies crashes since the update.  Solved one problem, created three more...

Looks like you updated to 10.8.1? Most VPW tables are not happy with the beta, use the stable 10.8 from January instead, that's what VPW recommends as well.

I used the built-in updater for Baller, no clue which version it installed.  I did find the ball trails setting and disabled it - that appears to have got rid of the graphics glitch.  

 

Also looks like the Baller updater broke my FlexDMD install.  Once I fixed that Goonies started working again.

This is why I've gone almost 2 years without updating anything 🙂

 

It gave me a bit of a panic attack when things broke.
