Which is the right Visual Pinball Version that work with all Stern Tables??? Version 9.2.1 ??? Which Revision? Content Provider freneticamnesic Posted May 29, 2014 Content Provider Share Posted May 29, 2014 Install Visual Pinball 9.9.0 from here http://vpuniverse.com/forums/files/file/432-visual-pinball-full-install/ Install the VPinMAME Cabinet version which should be easy to find (it's on VPForums, I can't find it on VPU) Go here http://vpuniverse.com/forums/files/file/2480-vpinmame-sampindmdunity-unified-version/ and download: sam_vbs.rar VPinMAME_SAM_UNITY_PINDMD_UNIFIED.1.7.rar Extract the sam.vbs to your Visual Pinball/Tables folder Extract the VPinMAME.dll to your Visual Pinball/VPinMAME folder and over-write the existing VPinMAME.dll Download the table you want, let's say Spiderman http://vpuniverse.com/forums/files/file/2743-spiderman-fs-stern-2007-85vett/ extract the .vpt to you Visual Pinball/Tables folder Go to sternpinball.com and click on "support" at the top of the page, click on "Game Code" Over on the right side of that page you will see a list of Stern games, click on Spider-Man, it will take you to this page http://sternpinball.com/game-code/game-code-spider-man Download that .zip Rename the .zip you just downloaded to "sman_260.zip" Move sman_260.zip to your Visual Pinball/VPinMAME/Roms folder Go to your Visual Pinball folder and open Visual Pinball Go to file>open and open your Spiderman .vpt, then play! Rook3 Posted July 16, 2014 Share Posted July 16, 2014 Thanks for the tutorial! I have a related question. When I test the sam table rom in vpinmame, it works just fine. When I attempt to run the table it belongs to, I get ALL sorts of fail. Error messages include... "Can't load VPinMAME. ActiveX component can't create object." VPinmame ver 01560000 required. "sam.VBS ver 3.1 or higher required." And then I get a controller failure in the table script. According to the VPinMAME About me screen I'm running v2.5! I have the sam.vbs from here, is it out of date for the table I'm trying to run? Any help or suggestions of threads to read would be greatly appreciated, thanks!!
