DOF 64 bit installation - Some questions

Hey everyone, 

I had DOF up and running several years ago. 

With a new PC I have to install everything again and start from scratch. 

I'm going for the 64 bit Version and this video was very helpful. 

 

My problem is, that it had some kind of effect. The sound of the bumpers and slingshots is now gone. If I remember correctly it was also like that back in the day when my system was 100 percent funtional. So there was no audio from the bumpers and slingshots just the pure sound from the selonoids. Am I right here? 

Also, is it not necessary anymore to make a link of the Directoutput folder into the tables folder? In that video there is nothing mentioned. 

 

Any advice what else I can do to get my bumpers and slingshots running again? 

I followed every step from the video and looked online for further infos. But now I'm somehow out of ideas.
