Stranger Things Table ?

Not sure if this is the right place to ask on the forum, sorry if it isn't....anyway:

 

I am new to visual pinball and in the early stages of making a cabinet.  While I am preparing the cabinet I have been looking through the various tables and was wondering if a Stranger Things table has been made that is a remake of the actual Stern table, ramp that drops and shoot the gorgon in the face with the ball?

 

I have found various versions of the table that are similar and are using other seasons of the show as mod inspirations.  The actual table is one of my wife's favorite pinball tables and was hoping to have it in the cabinet.

Short answer:

 

No, there is no version of the actual Stern Stranger Things table.

 

Long answer:

 

Pretty much any table released after the early 2000s does not have its ROM emulated by Visual PinMAME.

The few exceptions that you see (KISS, America's Most Haunted, Wizard of Oz, Batman 66, Guardians of the Galaxy, Game of Thrones and a handful of others) are the result of people recreating the ROM functions via elaborate scripts.

 

Also, there is a "gentleman's agreement" in the virtual pinball community with the manufacturers of real tables to wait at least three years after a table has gone out of production before anyone recreates it virtually. In return, so far no pinball manufacturer has come after the community for copyright infringement.

(There was one case a while back where someone reverse-engineered or cracked Stern's ROM code for a table - I'm hazy on the exact details - which caused legal trouble. As a result, that table is not to be talked about, but you can find a pretty good replacement in JP Salas's Slimer table over on VP Forums.)
