Gratizzz Posted September 1, 2025 Posted September 1, 2025 Hello all, I'm kinda new to this hobby (yeah and it rocks!). Question, when I add a credit with the 5 button on my keyboard it wil add 1/2 credit. So when I press it twice I have 1 credit. Perfect right? Now the weird this. When I keep pressing the button until 10 credits it's not adding the credits in the right way. What it should do is -> 1/2 - 1 - 1 1/2 - 2 - 2 1/2 - 3 - 3 1/2 - 4 - 4 1/2 - 5 - 5 1/2 - 6 - 6 1/2 - 7 - 7 1/2 - 8 - 8 1/2 - 9 - 9 1/2 - 10 (20 presses of key 5) What it does is -> 1/2 - 1 - 1 1/2 - 2 - 2 1/2 - 3 - 3 1/2 - 5 - 5 1/2 - 6 - 6 1/2 - 7 - 7 1/2 - 8 - 8 1/2 - 10 (16 presses of key 5). I want to start using real coins with a coin acceptor but in this way it's a bit strange. Tested it with TOTAN and White Water. Anyone knows how I can fix this? Or is this just normal? Do you guys also have this problem? Thanks all! And what a cool this to do this virtual pinball :)!
Rappelbox Posted September 1, 2025 Posted September 1, 2025 this is normal! it can be adjusted via the ROM settings within each game. it is a sort of "bonus" for players to add more credits to the machine and give them a reward in form of 5 credits instead of 4. If you check pictures of real machines you'll often see that bonus system
deadmanworking Posted September 1, 2025 Posted September 1, 2025 Probably the pricing setting in the ROM. This looks like it's set so that you get 5 credits for only 8 coins instead of 10, which is one possible pricing scheme. (others give you discount already when you insert 3 or 5 coins) Push End key to open the coin door and then cycle through the ROM options with 8 and 9 key to find the pricing category, one of the options there should correspond to 2 coins = always 1 credit without discount.
Gratizzz Posted September 1, 2025 Author Posted September 1, 2025 Tnx for the quick replies! I understand it now! I wil try to find the option in the rom! Will let you know.
Gratizzz Posted September 1, 2025 Author Posted September 1, 2025 Found it! Now I'll see if I can adjust it in other tables. Tnx once again :).
