Are "defective lamps" possible?

Hey all there,

I was asked by a friend of mine wether it is possible to give for example a singe light somewhere on the playfield a little other look. So that - I remember this from a pinball museum in my area - one light among others looks a little different (a little brighter, a little darker ("over the time"), completely dark (="out of order"), a little difference in color, things like this. I confess I am getting curious myself as I think that this makes the look of a table even more realistic.

So I am asking you wether this is possible? And if so, where to "change" a lamp 😁
