Leaf switch not consistent

My left flipper leaf switch acts strange sometimes, not registering a push, or flips like 3 times in a few milisec. 

 

What do you guys do when you have problems with the flipper? I bended the leaf a bit, at first it was ok, but after a few minutes of playing the same problem came back. 

 

Is it usefull to use a bit of sandpaper to make the connection better? Or how do you guys fix it most of the times?

@richietw are these gold plated leaf switches?

Yes gold plated. And I had a long time playing without issues, it just sometimes comes, I play a bit with the leafs and it's gone, but after a while it comes back. Just wandering what other people do to not have to do this once in a while.

I would check the connections to the switch and/or try a replacement switch to make sure the switch isnt 

the issue and not software related.
