intelekt Posted August 7, 2025 Posted August 7, 2025 I get this issue about 30% of the time I go to download a table. I get halfway through the DL and then it says "check internet connection" and then updates to "File wasn't available on site". sometimes I can hit resume and it will finish the download. If not, I then have to refresh the VPU page multiple times, watching the download counter tick down each time, until it says I can download the table again. I have a fiber connection which runs on a wireless mesh at gig speeds, with no issues arising other than VPU downloads, and I suspect it is due to a problem with the download limiter cutting off the connection or disabling the file's availability mid-download. I realize this system is in place to prevent abuse, but honestly it's making it pretty miserable to DL new tables to participate in tournaments each week. It is also constantly attributing these failed downloads to the countdown. Any help that can be given to get rid of the problem or send it up the chain would be useful.
Administrators Dazz Posted August 7, 2025 Administrators Posted August 7, 2025 I checked the server logs and don't see anything out of the ordinary. Also, this isn't a setting on the site that would be causing this. Looks like you are using some kind of download manager. What browser are you using? What browser addons do you have enabled? Using a VPN connection? If the browser had developer tools, then enable the developer tools and check the network tab. This could also be something with your DNS, try using a google DNS. Change DNS settings on your device: You can configure your computer, router, or other devices to use Google Public DNS by manually entering the IP addresses 8.8.8.8 (primary) and 8.8.4.4 (secondary). I also ran through chatgpt, check out these other suggestions. https://chatgpt.com/share/68948d6f-8de0-8011-9828-42f33263e82e
