VP1000 Posted July 27, 2025 Posted July 27, 2025 Hello everyone, Being in the Pinball Community no one would like to offend anyone by releasing a table without the Authors permission, But sometimes it's kinda hard to find the original author of the table or if you find the author and send them a message they never respond or the person never comes back to the site, which in that case you should be able to make a modded version of the table. So for instance the next table that I have ready is Wipeout.fpl but when I look for Kiwi the original Author he's not here, But then I look a little more and find another author of the same table Author: edizzle · Version: 1.1.0 · Downloads: 3779 · Updated: March 28, 2020 · Categories: VPX Tables. located at vpinball. So I search and find Edizzle here but he doesn't have the file wipeout uploaded here so I haven't sent him a message yet. Then at Pinball Nivana it shows where: Jan 27, 2020 — Author: Rock-ola. is the original author of Wipeout. Do I also need to ask Rock-ola for permission before releasing here at VPUniverse. And then what if the Original Author is at a site that your not aware of never really noticing that Author, without disrespect. So here is 3 different Authors all claiming to be the original Author of WipeOut. To tell you the truth I'm really not sure who is the original author of WipeOut is. I just want to make sure I'm doing the right thing I don't want to get banned I really enjoy making these tables to influence others to start writing script and making tables. I always give permission on the tables I recreate to give anyone the opportunity to improve the script or table, models etc. And also providing a table so others can play until the real group of coders get together and release the table with all the effects. Is there any suggestions or maybe make a forum link for this site to ask for permission before releasing a table in case the member wasn't able to make a profile with his original name here at VPUniverse, for example maybe Kiwi,Rock-ola and Edizzle have a different name here. Perhaps having a link here the Author can state that he is the original Creator and maybe provide credentials to prove the table was his creation so that just no one can deny permission. Thanks for reading have a super great day, Cheers everyone.

Find here in PinSimDB Archive section... https://pinballnirvana.com/forums/resources/video-game-tribute-wipeout-original-by-drakko.7075/ And @TerryRed made version...(Looks like Rom was involved in making table also.) https://pinballnirvana.com/forums/resources/wipeout-original-doflinx-cabinet-edition.7719/

Hello everyone,
Being in the Pinball Community no one would like to offend anyone by releasing a table without the Authors permission,
But sometimes it's kinda hard to find the original author of the table or if you find the author and send them a message
they never respond or the person never comes back to the site,
which in that case you should be able to make a modded version of the table.
So for instance the next table that I have ready is Wipeout.fpl
but when I look for Kiwi the original Author he's not here,
But then I look a little more and find another author of the same table
Author: edizzle · Version: 1.1.0 · Downloads: 3779 · Updated: March 28, 2020 · Categories: VPX Tables.
located at vpinball.
I just want to make sure I'm doing the right thing I don't want to get banned
I really enjoy making these tables to influence others to start writing script and making tables.
I always give permission on the tables I recreate to give anyone the opportunity to improve the script or table, models etc.
And also providing a table so others can play until the real group of coders get together and release the table with all the effects.
Is there any suggestions or maybe make a forum link for this site to ask for permission before releasing a table
in case the member wasn't able to make a profile with his original name here at VPUniverse,
for example maybe Kiwi,Rock-ola and Edizzle have a different name here.
Perhaps having a link here the Author can state that he is the original Creator and maybe provide credentials to prove the table was his creation
so that just no one can deny permission.
Thanks for reading have a super great day,
Cheers everyone.
