Yes also a big problem with these kind of recommendations is that they age fast, depend on your location (availabimity/pricing) and it's also very much dependent on your wanted setup (cab or desktop, 4k or 1080p, targeted Hz rate and size of screen etc)

Maybe you can give a few more details?

Also I can recommend putting this question to Chatgpt / Gemini et al, I've been having a lot very specific discussions with the Ai when it comes to planning or updating my setups and the recommendations after a bit of back and forth were usually spot on when specifying your needs clearly.

definetly 4k 120hzts,i plan on getting a lg c3/4 play field screen and 32inch screen back glass screen and 3rd monitor
i want to have the most basic parts and set up before buying a wideboy cabinet (flat pack) then all the add ons there after.

looking to build/purchase computer componants first

i already have visual pinball installed, just playing on a single monitor, but can only run 10.7,i've tried running 10.8 but run in to problems because of my current hareware
so i've decide i want to build another computer to run current tables and make build future proof

OK thanks, I recently did some research when upgrading my cab monitor to OLED:

To run current tables at 1440p/240Hz:

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti + AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D + 16 GB DDR4 RAM

When factoring in future proofness:

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER + AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D + 32 GB DDR5 RAM

Since the demands on your GPU of 4k @ 120 are even higher (i think 15-20%) this would probably be calling for a 4080 Super or even 4090.

I'm running a 4K C3 OLED at 144hz with an HD DMD and a 32" QHD (2560x1440) back glass. CPU is Intel i7-12700K GPU Nvidia 5080. All runs butter smooth and have a bit of headroom. No GPU/CPU tuning/overclocking.

Cleveland Software Design (CSD) builders kit feedback (solenoids, motor, knocker, flashers) and SSF installed as well.

I started with an i5 4570 and a 2070 on an HD display which worked well. But, once I moved to a 4K playfield (even at 60hz), it was time to replace the PC.
