Hello friends, I have a problem that has been going on for 3 days and I still haven't been able to solve it. My board is a Wemos v4.0 only. I put a LED strip on the left and right side of the playfield and configured it in Tiny Tools and then created the cabinet.xml.

Then I went to the Global config editor and saved the two XML files inside the DirectOutput folder and finally the DofConfigurationTools page.

The LEDs worked on both the left and right. The problem is that when I turn off the Pinball or restart it and when I go to the Popup menu or simply use Visual PinbalX, the Wemos LED that keeps flashing blue turns off. If I take it out of the USB and put it back in, the Blue LED comes back on, but when I enter Vpx or Popup it turns off again.

To get the LEDs working again, I always have to update the Wemos firmware through the Tiny Tools application and it goes back to normal with the LEDs working.

But if I turn it off, everything starts again.

I've already tested 3 Lolin Wemos, I've updated to all versions of the firmware that the Tiny Tools app has, and it doesn't help, the problem comes back again.

I always have to go into Windows to update the Wemos, it's very annoying.

My power supply is 5 volts and 50 amps, and the Tiny Tools app is the latest version.

All the toys work with the Kl25z, but the LEDs always have this problem.

If anyone has experienced this, I hope you can help me.

Thank you all.

Hi,
I don't have a concrete idea or proposal. But what I can say is that it will not be easy to find someone helping you out with a complex scenario like this.
Try to localize the problem. If you get your LEDs to work, I strongly assume that you don't have to reflash your firmware over and over again. This will not help you in the long run anyway.
Often - when multiple applications are using DOF, you have the problem that one is exclusively locking the COM port / DOF.
One launcher which is properly implemented and works fine for me is PinballY. I would chose this over any other (Popper). Also, PinballX is completely outdated.
PinballY frees DOF correctly when launching VPX and takes control again when it's running in the foreground.

I'll see what I'm going to do because the pinuppopper was a lot of work and replacing it with another one wouldn't be a good idea for me, I'll have to make a button on the pinball to reset the Wemos, when starting the pinball.
but thanks for your tip.

Hi!

Hi.
I'm experiencing the exact same thing as you. What I do when the blue LED goes off is press the WEMOS reset button, and the lights will work again until the next reset, when the blue WEMOS LED turns off again.
