RollerCoaster Tycoon Pup-Pack - All Triggers Firing Nonstop After ROM Init

I've been trying to fix the RollerCoaster Tycoon (Stern 2002) Pup-Pack that I found here VPUniverse, but I'm running into a frustrating issue and could really use some help or insights.

 

Problem Description:

Once the table starts and the ROM has gone through its initialization phase, all Pup-Pack triggers (both D and W types) start firing repeatedly and nonstop. This behavior makes the Pup-Pack unusable, and I can’t seem to isolate the cause.

 

What I’ve Tried:

  • Verified that the Pup-Pack itself works fine: it runs perfectly in the PinUpPack Editor and also works flawlessly if I place it in another folder like Flintstones.
  • Even when I put Flintstones data into the RCT folder, the same random, constant trigger behavior happens.
  • Tried two versions of the table:
    • RollerCoaster Tycoon (Stern 2002) VPW 2.3.vpx
    • RollerCoaster Tycoon (Stern 2002) v4.3.vpx (VPForums)
  • Tested ROM versions:
    • rctycn_701 and rctycn (7.02) (both English and German versions)
  • Issue persists on:
    • My cabinet (manual install)
    • Fresh BallerInstaller setup on laptop
    • Both VPinballX.exe and VPinballX64.exe
  • The table itself plays normally — no issues with gameplay.
  • PinUPPlayer Display Driver is shown as active in B2S Plugin info.

 

Setup Versions:

  • B2S Server: 2.1.3.327
  • VPinballX: 10.8.0.2058
  • VPinballX64: 10.8.8.2058
  • DmdDevice64.dll: 2.3.1
  • VPinMame64.dll: 3.6.0.1227

 

PinUP System:

  • PupCapture works fine
  • Other Pup-Packs work without issue

Additional Observations:

  • GIStringsState.txt, LampsState.txt, LEDState.txt, and SolenoidsState.txt showing normal data
  • It’s almost like something in the ROM is interfering with B2S, Freeze or PinUp Player.

 

At this point, I’m stumped. Has anyone encountered similar behavior or have any ideas where this could be coming from? Any suggestions are very welcome!
