StifflersMoM Posted May 7, 2025 Posted May 7, 2025 Hi! When i switch my Soundcard to 7.1 in Windows my front and rear exciters works fine, but i dont have a sound from my backbox anymore on most tables. I just can hear the Table sounds. When i configure my Soundcard to Stereo the music plays, but of course the surround sound has gone. Any idea what do i miss?
deadmanworking Posted May 7, 2025 Posted May 7, 2025 @StifflersMoM do you get a signal from the backglass speakers in the Sound options while setting up 7.1 surround when you click on them in the visual diagram of the speakers? Did you deactivate the center speaker in that setup as well, that's sometimes the culprit?
StifflersMoM Posted May 7, 2025 Author Posted May 7, 2025 Thanks for your reply! Yes when clicking on the Speaker it is working fine. Also when activating Center, there is no change. The problem does not apply on all tables. For example Attack from Mars and TOTAN working fine, but The Getaway and Cactus Canyon does not.
deadmanworking Posted May 7, 2025 Posted May 7, 2025 Did you raise the ROM volume on these tables? Or do they also work fine when in 2ch mode?
StifflersMoM Posted May 7, 2025 Author Posted May 7, 2025 Nothing changed on ROM Volume and yes they are working also in 2ch mode. Just digged a bit deeper and i read soemthing about using equalizerAPO and redirecting the Center to left and right, but seems not working for me
StifflersMoM Posted May 7, 2025 Author Posted May 7, 2025 Found a solution: 1. disable center channel in your soundcard settings 2. enable "extend mono sound to stereo" in vpinmame genral setup worked for me

Thanks
