slydog43 Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 Can the behavior of the flipper solenoids be changed from firing and holding if I press and hold the flipper button to Fire and release even if I flip and hold the flipper button? I ask since my solenoids seem to make more of a sound/feeling when releasing the solenoid, yet a real pinball machine makes the most sound when initially pressing the flipper button. Does this make any sense to anyone? love DOF, really was a game changer
Content Provider swisslizard Posted April 12, 2014 Content Provider Posted April 12, 2014 You could simply add a duration to the settings for the flipper solenoids. Like that the solenoids will always stay active for the same short period and then go off again.
Content Provider arngrim Posted April 12, 2014 Content Provider Posted April 12, 2014 You want the flipper to not hold but do on-off when you press and unpress the button? That will be doable in the next dof with the invert sol functionality, is this how a real pinball is acting?
Content Provider gtxjoe Posted April 12, 2014 Content Provider Posted April 12, 2014 If you are using solenoids not contactors, there are different types of solenoids: push, pull or push-pull. If it is a push-pull solenoid, you can reverse the wire connection and it should behave the way you want.
