htamas Posted May 3, 2025 Posted May 3, 2025 It looks like the forums need a better way to stop the current barrage of spam posts. Apparently, it doesn't have a good enough protection against bots and it needs a more controlled / vetted method to subscribe.

The stie actually has good protection, but a recent update disabled one of the main settings which allowed many to get registered. I spent hours yesterday working on cleaning things up but evidently there were still some that I missed.
htamas Posted May 3, 2025 Author Posted May 3, 2025 Thank you! I can only imagine how much work it is to run a site like this, and your efforts to keep everything running are appreciated.

Content Provider xenonph Posted May 4, 2025 Content Provider Posted May 4, 2025 VPForums got hit too. Pinball Nirvana has pretty good security, but every now and then one gets through. I have to say I don't think I have ever seen a spam post on this site. So this site does have great security!
