Not done from scratch, transferred most of the insides of my old 32inch cabinet into one. Was your writeups and videos that really helped me together with Daniel Spies one (and ofc the actual official instructions) Phil at CSD is helpful as regards any email sent to him and will respond usually very quickly. RabidUrko Posted June 30 Posted June 30 (edited) Oh man 😕 i felt nervous lifting the playfield into my cabinet (slow progress of late bit of heatwave here in UK) I feel your pain but how did you manage to have anything that could break it over the screen? Raii Posted July 10 Author Posted July 10 Phil from Cleveland Software Design very kindly sent me the very latest versions of RGB true leaf flipper buttons so I had to enlarge the Tukkari flipper button holes (to 27 mm if I recall correctly), did it in about 4 mins with a rough file, helped by a vacuum.

I built my first vpin with the flatpack from pinballcabinets, but I'm now looking at using Tukkari for next one. That back access was super useful during construction and configuration and I'm a little nervous to not have it. What say you?

And yes, I wish it had a rear access panel. It's not terrible, but it's hard to work on the back of the cabinet without removing the glass and the screen. On the other hand, I use the space where the panel would be, and I don't need to get to the back very often. I might build a rear panel myself at some point.
RabidUrko Posted Thursday at 09:57 PM Posted Thursday at 09:57 PM (edited) My Tukkari cabinet is still WIP (mainly cosmetic bits to do) been hot Summer , work has been slow, and setup mainly took a while because i didnt realise one needs to switch on the main playfield tv to initialise before the PC is switched on, otherwise lots of screen moving around issues happened. (this gave me weeks of headaches until i learnt this :P) Anyway back to the topic lol. I wanted easy access to the GPU ports and back of PC mainly, so i cut a rectangle out and used some pieces of black perspex as decor around it. When the cabinet is totally finished its position will be nearer the wall. Edited Thursday at 10:00 PM by RabidUrko
