ell Posted April 22, 2025 Posted April 22, 2025 Hello Everyone. I am trying to get over an issue in windows 11 with a desktop 1 screen setup on 64 bit windows home. I have installed using baller installer on a brand new windows 11 tower and everything works correctly regarding vpx, future pinball and vpinmame but then the pinup player pup video boots up and when the pinmame rom fires up the video vanishes completely.I am getting the single screen messages such as game over and the video sound I can hear in the background but no video which remains blank on the screen apart from the in game score messages. Have been following Terry Red and Nailbusters guides but still cannot see the light yet. Does anybody have any ideas I can try?
Tikimaster Posted April 22, 2025 Posted April 22, 2025 (edited) On Desktop you need to have: PuPDesktopPunch.exe and pupinit.bat to get the PupScreens on Top. This is important beside all Software Settings and Versions. Be sure to have a copy of both files in every PupVideo Folder Root. https://www.nailbuster.com/wikipinup/doku.php?id=pup_desktop Edited April 22, 2025 by Tikimaster
ell Posted April 22, 2025 Author Posted April 22, 2025 Thank you so much for that Tikimaster,I had forgotten about that and will do that with my pup videos. The strange thing is you initially see the attract video which then disappears when pinmame shows up but you can still hear the video soundtrack with no picture go figure. Baller installer is a great program and really does a lot of the hard work for you and can recommend it for those who wish to go beyond the basic desktop setup on their PC.
Tikimaster Posted April 22, 2025 Posted April 22, 2025 (edited) If everything else is ok, Pupscreens do swap behind the playfield on Desktop without these two files. You may be able to see them using ALT+Tab. Thats why you can hear them. They seem to run, to hear them is a good sign. 🤡 ( Do not use exlusive Fullscreen or GL Version on Desktop) Edited April 22, 2025 by Tikimaster
