Further possibility to adjust scale of the normal DMD (desktop mode)

Hello there,

 

is there any possibility to make the standard DMD a little bit bigger.

I can imagine that this is not possible because there are the scale settings in the menue which are obviously not working with decimal points...

It is just because factor 2 is still a little bit small (respectively there is so much free space left) while 3 is definitely too big 😁

If there is any other possibility I would be happy.

I already installed flex dmd but I guess it is not possible to switch to this one?

Install Freezy or Lucky1 dmddevice dll's and switch to using external dmd instead. F1 key, check use external dmd, UNcheck show dmd window. Then you can move and size however you like

Is there also a possibility to show such an external DMD not as a dot matrix but showing the normal digits?

As I managed to get a bigger DMD with DMDtext I did not installed one of y0ur suggestions.

Is one of them able to show a usual old school display, too?

Is there any risk that both programms collide, do I have to turn off DMDtext or deinstall? It is because of the priority in case I turn off the "DMD" and turn on the external, which one will be choosed, then?

Not that I'm aware of simply because Monster Bash is a WPC dmd game. Williams stopped using alphanumeric displays in 1991. Terminator 2 was the first Williams game to purposely use a dot matrix display and no pins used alphanumerics after that.

 

The funny thing is vpinmame can simulate a dmd to replace alphanumerics but not the reverse.

 

As for running the built in vpm dmd and external dmd, yes both can be visible at the same time without a problem

Thats a pitty because I LOVE these alphanumerics.

But okay, in case that no other DMD-extension ist able to show this, at least I do not have to search further 😁
