griffindodd Posted April 19, 2025 Posted April 19, 2025 (edited) Yikes this is driving me batty. I have a dual x32/x64 setup and can happily run tables in either build along with FlexDMD, Freezy ext and Serum color DMDs without issue. However I cannot get Pup packs to play when using x64 Player. I went through all of the setup info here https://www.nailbuster.com/wikipinup/doku.php?id=pinup_upgrade_v15 and I have the latest versions of FlexDMD and Freezy's extensions for x86 and x64, they show as registered and available in the UI check, all green checks. I've also made sure no exe's are blocked in the Pinup System folder and the VPinMame folder. For my test I am using ACDC Luci with the full video pup pack, works perfectly under x32 but when I change to x64 (10.8 Release VPX OpenGL) the pup packs refuse to play, same behavior with Iron Man and Metallica. At this point I'm really not sure what to try as I've gone over these steps multiple times. Software: VPX 10.8 GL, VPinMAME 3.6, B2S 2.1.3, FlexDMD 1.9.1, Freezy 2.3.1, Pinup Popper 1.5 Cabinet: PF: Sony X85K 4k 100hz Portrait, BG/FullDMD: 1080p LCD, Topper: UHD LCD Computer: Ryzen 9 5900X, 64GB, RTX 4080 Super, NVME, Win 11 Edited April 19, 2025 by griffindodd
chonk_master Posted April 19, 2025 Posted April 19, 2025 Read over this: https://www.nailbuster.com/wikipinup/doku.php?id=puppack_troubleshoot If I had to guess you need to look at the b2s menu and check that plugins are enabled when you run the 64 bit or whatever version isn't working.

It will be in your vpinmame folder
griffindodd Posted April 19, 2025 Author Posted April 19, 2025 Thanks for the responses. Checking the b2s plugins they were greyed out so i managed to fix that and can confirm the pup packs are at least loading now but they are not being triggered by table events. I couldn't find any puplog.txt files

So i double checked the pup naming and it is all correct but as you pointed out launching the game isn't writing anything to the pup log.txt I tried Elvis which has pup and is running x32 but that also isn't writing anything to the log although it seems to be running the pup pack fine and reacting to events

griffindodd Posted April 19, 2025 Author Posted April 19, 2025 Hrmmm, things are both better and worse. Now x32 and x64 tables load the pup as you can see the frames/first video on the backglass but neither build now triggers any pup events. I made sure I ran a full recursive unblock on all files within my full Vpin folder, so something in the 1.5 x64 upgrade has stopped recognizing events even tough the PinupPlayer is running. Tested with x32 and x64 on Iron Man, Baywatch, Metallica and ACDC that all have pups. Man I hate upgrading anything on this Vpin software it always seems to break
Tikimaster Posted April 19, 2025 Posted April 19, 2025 maybe a silly idea, I guess pupplayer is writing the log into the folder which it was registered from. Did you run PuPRegister_64bit.bat from vpinmame folder?

Everything is working now. Thank you everyone for taking the time to help me out.
