griffindodd Posted April 15, 2025 Posted April 15, 2025 (edited) Hi All, I have a pretty well spec'd cabinet that I built myself. My framerates are very clean and smooth without stutter on the ball or any weird hangs/pauses in games. Software: VPX 10.8b7, VPinMAME 3.6, B2S 2.1.0, FlexDMD 1.9.0, Freezy 2.2.1, Pinup Popper 1.5 Cabinet: PF: Sony X85K 4k 120hz Portrait, BG/FullDMD: 1080p LCD, Topper: UHD LCD Computer: Ryzen 9 5900X, 64GB, RTX 4080 Super, NVME, Win 11 Even though my main screen, a SONY X85K, has a factory spec of 7.0ms input lag at 4k/120hz in game mode, my flippers seem to be closer to what feels like 100ms or so. Doesn't sound like a huge amount but of course it can have a significant effect on shots and does have a negative effect on gameplay for me at least. I am using a generic USB keyboard encoder for my buttons, which certainly could be contributing to the problem. I was wondering if there are any other things I should be looking at as far as configuration is concerned before I start changing out hardware. Thanks Edited April 15, 2025 by griffindodd
Cliffy Posted April 16, 2025 Posted April 16, 2025 (edited) Try changing your input api in vpx prefs to xinput- since you're running windows Edited April 16, 2025 by Cliffy
