Hi,

I'm trying to use the PUP-Pack fro AC-DC LUCI Table: I've installed correctly tha table, I changed in VPX  the  cGameName = "acd_170hc" in the table script, compiled and saved. I've put in rom folder acd_170h and acd_170hc rom and in altcolor the acd_170h.cRZ. Extracted the PUP zip file in PUPVideos in folder acd_170hc and edited the VPMAlias.txt adding row with 'acd_170h,acd_170hc'. I also edited DMDdevice.ini with pinup enable=true.

When I run the table I see the fulldmd with colored rom dmd but I see normal BG instead of PUP pack: no pup pack visible!

Where is the mistake?

Thanks

#1 get rid of the hc file unless you are using the color patched dmd. Just use the h rom, cgagamesname, altcolor folder name and pup folder name. All should only be acd_170h.

The pup will work as long as the b2s plugins are active. Look for this at the top of b2stablesettings.xml;

<B2STableSettings>
  <ArePluginsOn>1</ArePluginsOn>
  <DefaultStartMode>2</DefaultStartMode>
  <DisableFuzzyMatching>1</DisableFuzzyMatching>

As long as you have the b2s server installed and plugins active it should just work

Hi, thanks for the answer...

I tried as you said but nothing, again only backglass, no puppack showing!

I've tried also with bram stoker's dracula pup-pack and same result: I can't see the pup-pack!

b2stablesettings.xml is correct as you wrote.

I don't know how to proceed!

I will try a fresh reinstall of baller installer.

are you running a cabinet or desktop?

I'm running some tests before starting to build a cab. I have at the moment 2 real screens, but installed a 3 screen configuration FullDMD: I put BG and FULLDMD on the 2 monitor side by side.

@Martafix do you have other tables running with PUP Packs? So your Pinup player install is correct and complete and you have issues only with these two?

I tryied a lot of tables and nothing. Now after few try I found that PUP-Pack is under the backglass, so in B2server I set Backglass to hidden and now in Godzilla table it works. I don't know but probably there is a better solution.

@Martafix you can remove the backglass file altogether or set it to hidden like you did.

So are ACDC and Dracula working now?

I've checked now...No, AC-DC not working. I've reinstalled the table .vpx and .directb2s (same name), rom acd_170h in rom folder, acd_170h folder in PUPvideos with the PUPpack inside, also created a acd_170h folder in altcolor for color rom.

When I start the table I see BG and fulldmd, not puppack; if I set backglass to hidden in b2s simply the BG disappear and no PUPpack!

I don't understand...I saw a lot of videos and it seems so easy!

The PUPpack has no .bat file to set number of screen, is that the problem? Have I something to set manually?

Hi, I found how to make PUPPack work in AC-DC LUCi...in the options in b2s I have to run it in standard mode and not in EXE mode. In this way I see the PUP.  Can anyone please explain me why? Is this way correct?

I'm late in responding, but I just stumbled upon this thread doing a little research for a possible future puppack project.  I've only created several puppacks, but normally the b2s server is set to exe mode and you also should ensure activate plugins is checked.  Also, although my own puppack creations kind of violate the norm, you typically do not want to use a directb2s at all wfhen using a puppack so you might try renaming it.  Simply tack a .sav extension on it or something like that.
