Hi All , im new here still wiring up my cabinet, I bought the Arnoz Dude series boards and i also have a pause button i purchased from another supplier ...

Im assuming i would just put the pause button as a spare on the board but does VPX or future pinball have a pause button??

Is it just set Esc to pause button??

Im also hoping i can use it on Pinball FX .....

Hope someone here surely would know how to do it....

@v8nside ESC (or Q or whatever you have Exit set to) does pause the game in VPX, but I see a problem using it with the button since a second press of it would not unpause the game but quit the table 🤔

But VPX has a dedicated Pause buttons as well, by default it is set to P and you can assign any button to that function in the VPX > Key/nudge settings!

Also i damaged my back glass monitor and have bought a replacement but its 4k and not 1080p like the monitor i used in the set up  .., do you know if i have to redo the whole setup again or is there a easier way ..

You only have to edit your screenres.txt for b2sserver. If you use a Frontend you may also have to edit the sreensettings of your frontend. This is much easier than a complete new install

@v8nside I'm not a FP user but if you check the settings in Game key and Controls there's a setting for Pause button that looks like it can be assigned to any key or button, so this should work similarly to VP. Maybe try in software before setting up the cab?

In Pinball FX3 I do remember that it's ESC to bring up the Pause menu, in Pinball FX I think as well but as far as I recall this can't be reassigned so it would take some juggling to make it work on all systems with the same key. Maybe launch Joytokey only when running Pinball FX and assign your Pause button to ESC, while in VPX and FP it is assigned as a certain button (not ESC) to trigger the Pause key (and not Exit)

i found the pause buttons setup on both vpx and future config... what messed me up and still to now is i wired the pause button on the dudes cab spare 2 but both config software wants a button number... it dosnt have spare 2 on config software.. maybe i wired it wrong..  i dont know what the spare 2 button is as a number

@v8nside in the Dude's Cab config software go to Inputs and then find Spare 2 and check which button number is assigned to it. This is the number to use for the pause button - in VPX you'll be asked to press that button when assigning.
