Spacegoogie Posted March 23, 2025 Posted March 23, 2025 (edited) So last week I did try the latest build 2051 I believe , and I noticed a lot of slow down and lag. Went back to 2046, as this seems to be good. Also started using Visual Desktop and I love the options. I also love my new virtual gaming rooms lol. The connectivity is really good. What I have noticed is when I have the settings lower is when I have performance drops, I crank some stuff up and it looks better and runs smoother? My system is from 2021, i7 8700 3.4, 32gb ddr3, 2TB Nvme, RTX 3060 12GB. Like I said, with the higher settings it runs like butter, maybe because my GPU is better then CPU ? Here is my VD settings, How are you guys running VD? What Ver. are you all using and why. Is the 10.8.1-3155-8054cc2 (released last week) good enough to start using? Just wanna see what all you other VR users are using. Hope everyone is well🍻 Edited March 23, 2025 by Spacegoogie

Spacegoogie Posted March 29, 2025 Author Posted March 29, 2025 I went ahead and started running 10.8.0.2051, I believe the latest. So far all is running good.
Spacegoogie Posted March 29, 2025 Author Posted March 29, 2025 Latency is now 34-40 aslo. Can't wait to upgrade PC.
Gravy Posted March 29, 2025 Posted March 29, 2025 (edited) There have been a few updates since 2051, now at 2058 https://github.com/vpinball/vpinball/actions/runs/13615201907 Make sure you don't overwrite your opencomposite version of openvr_api64.dll if you update (keep a backup of it, it should have a file date of 28/October/2023 (that's the best OC DLL to use, newer ones have issues with certain tables). I just checked my Ver and it is 2051, tho I have 2058 download but never installed? I must have just forgot. Well about to do that now. Thanks for making me aware of that🙌. So I have this bookmark https://github.com/vpinball for the love of me from my link I can not get to where your link sent me lmao, how do I navigate to those latest releases, if you don't mind? Thanks again🍻
Spacegoogie Posted March 29, 2025 Author Posted March 29, 2025 For the DLL's i just use OpenComposit whatever it auto updates to . Should I not? Do I need old DLL's?

Newer versions have problems with some tables (one of the VPW spiderman tables to name one if I remember correctly) The older 2023 OC DLL is part of Panasony's VR setup pack at https://w.atwiki.jp/visualpinball/

Thanks again🍻 From your link you would then click on "vpinball" there you will see the latest "release" on the right side. If you want to see the latest non-releases then click "Actions" near the top, this will show you all of the latest builds. From there you could filter by clicking "Branch" near the top right and choose "10.8.0 to get to the link that Gravy posted.
