ludovids Posted August 14 Posted August 14 You might want to give this a try: https://github.com/Le-Syl21/headtracking
barneyrfd Posted August 15 Posted August 15 Thanks ludovids, I've looked at the Le-Syl21 headtracking plug-in for VPX before and while it looks really interesting it would overide my curreent BAM setup and since I've just gotten the BAM/Kinect2 headtracking to a good place I would hate to blow that up and start all over again. I think if I was just starting off with a Kinect2 setup though I would definitely give it a go. By the way, I picked up my Kinect2 and power supply for less than $50 (cdn) so if anybody is considering dabbling with pseudo 3D effect it's not a big cash outlay to give it a try.
barneyrfd Posted Monday at 10:51 PM Posted Monday at 10:51 PM Been tweaking the BAM Head tracking settings lately with higher values to get a much better 3d effect. At first it seems like the playfield moved too much but during regular game play it looks great, there's a real sense of depth and as you lean forward and back and side to side while playing the perspective on the playfield gives you a more realistic effect. I'm finding it harder and harder to go to not using the BAM head tracking. I've attached video that I took of the LOTR (Siggi mod) table to try to show the 3D effect as well as an image of the BAM head tracking settings I used if anyone wants to give it a go.
