I upgraded my graphics card from an RTX 2080Ti to an RX 9070 XT recently, and I find that now I get much worse performance in VPX VR.

My HMD's display has a refresh rate of 90Hz, but I can't get more than 50FPS or so and everything is really choppy. Here's a screenshot:

The performance panel puts the latency on VPX's side. Also, for some reason, almost all of the GPU memory has been used up. This is strange because the 9070 has more memory than the 2080Ti (16GB as opposed to 11GB).

All other VR applications I've tried work perfectly fine. For example, here's Hitman World of Assassination:

It runs fine, and doesn't use as much GPU memory despite running in a higher resolution.

Has anyone experienced this with Radeon cards? Is there something I can do to fix it?

I don't think this is anything to do with VPX per se. FP has the same issue. But with FP, if I bring up the Steam UI, the tracking looks pretty smooth on the desktop preview. The Pico performance panel also gives me 90FPS in that view.

This might be a driver issue or something, though it's weird that it doesn't affect every VR game.

Have you ever worked this out? I went from 2080to to 9070 XT and have exactly the same issue, realy poor framrate compared to very old and much slower 2080ti
